The Hummings

The Hummings are a four piece band consisting of guitar, bass, drums, keys, trumpet and the occasional 3 part harmonies. The group was cofounded by bassist/lead singer Brian Quan and guitarist/lead singer Jay Calove bringing on drummer Jed Cangco at that start of 2017 and took off once pianist/trumpet player Noah Jimenez was introduced to the band that summer. The Hummings sound has a variety of influences ranging from The Bee Gees, Kimbra, Chet Baker, to Asian Kung Fu Generation to say the least. They are able to achieve a variety in there sound due to every member in the band coming from a different musical background. The group typically identifies with the Indie Funk sound as the bands genre.
