Mechanical Roots

​Mechanical Roots is an Alternative Post-Rock band comprised of three uniquely talented individuals from across the US: Kev O’Brien, Zach Gaston, and Steve Carroll. Kev is a singer/guitarist from Connecticut who has performed in New York City with several groups and toured across America. Zach is a bassist from Alabama that attended USC, and has performed with several bands and artists around LA both with and without the Trojan Marching Band. Steven Carroll has played drums since the age of nine, attended Berklee College of Music, and has been performing around LA in many types of ensembles since then. Combined, they create the sound of Mechanical Roots, a band based in Los Angeles that is devoted to musical craftsmanship and bringing a unique cathartic performance to every audience. Their music is influenced by Post-Rock and Alternative Rock sounds with catchy, singable hooks in both the vocals and instrumentals. Mechanical Roots finds success in writing hard-rocking music while maintaining a sound that is listenable and enjoyable for any demographic.
