Delanova is a Los Angeles-based, solo exhibition of sounds. Rayla Delanova is the sole writer and performer. After several years of on-and-off piano lessons, Rayla picked the bass at age 14. She was self-taught for a year and half. After seeing one of her favorite bassists perform at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Rayla enrolled in the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. For two and a half years, Rayla studied bass. She also participated in the Conservatory’s choir. Disinterested in engaging in the 60's nostalgia-kick Echo Park experienced in the 2010's, Rayla realized she’d have to make her own soundtrack for the city. At seventeen, she began playing around Los Angeles. At twenty-one, she went on her first national tour as a session bassist.
