"I'm a singer songwriter based out of the beach town of Oceanside. I'm 18 and have grown up in Southern California my whole life. I began singing when I was very young. Gradually I became interested in other instruments and took up piano when I was 10. This is when I began writing songs. During freshman year I began playing ukulele and guitar. I picked up my first gig Summer after my freshman year at the Sunset Market. It's this great farmers market in Oceanside that happens every Thursday. It's full of music, vendors and artists. From there I became hungry to perform more and more. Now I'm playing at various venues around San Diego and always looking for more. Along with performing and writing music, I also produce almost all of my own songs. I love being part of the whole creative process from start to finish. That's probably why I'm interested in lots of different music. I listen to everything, and I mean everything. I love Classic Rock such as the Eagles, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. I also love modern artists such as Lana Del Rey, the Weeknd, Kali Uchis, Tyler The Creator and A$AP Rocky. Those first two, Lana and the Weeknd are probably my biggest idols. I started listening to them freshman year and have never stopped. Jazz music is also a big component of my influences. I adore Nina Simone's vocal style as well as Billie Holiday. In this modern age of music many artists are forced into having one sound or style. Though these personas are intriguing it limits personal discovery in my opinion. I wanted to have a persona for the longest time. But being different and eclectic is not a bad thing. I have let myself use that to my advantage. I realize pulling from different sounds and genres allows me to have a unique sound no one else has. That's why it's hard for me to answer when people ask me what genre I am. I'm a mixture of lots of things, and that's the way I want to keep it."
