Velvet Q is a psych-rock quorum (drum, bass, guitar) comprised almost entirely of quails exploring states of mind and quashing outdated social restrictions with heavy tones, quick shifts, and odd time signatures. Influences include The Velvet Underground, Slothrust, Of Montreal, and the Pixies. Shifting from riotous cacophony to introspective musing bliss and back, Velvet Q’s live show is quintessentially intriguing. Hidden quirks include intricate harmonies, experimental looping, accordion exposé and aerial acrobatics.
