"A customer service rep during the day & a passionate reader/writer by night. I am a freelance writer based in the Los Angeles area. When human beings experience severe life stressors or exciting highlights big or small its part of their story. What I hope to achieve is that people will have a “person/place” to go to when they need to relate to someone, need inspiration or simply just because they’re bored. I do hope you enjoy what you read & feel more than free to reach out to me."

BRUISED KNEES & ASHTRAY HAIR
Someone once asked me how I could be so passionate about music and concerts (little backyard shows or venues big/small) and honestly I don't think you can truly understand that type of passion for music until it becomes your lifeline. You feel this connection and type of love that you can't really explain. I would sell my souls for concert tickets, any of you agree? Aha
When I first started going to concerts I thought everything pre-show was so annoying but I’ve grown to love standing in line watching and listening to people talk about what songs they can't wait to hear, how many times they changed, or how they couldn't eat or sleep the night before and the excitement on everyone's face the second doors open or the adrenaline that hits you once you hear the first beat to the opening song. There's something about being in a crowded place full of strangers that is so comforting, it's because we're all there for the same reason, MUSIC!
The ride home after though is so bittersweet because it's over and you're tired but you just sit there engrossed in the memories. You relive every moment, its like a flashback: how you waited and waited for that night to come and FINALLY you got to witness your happiness, seeing your favorite artist(s) perform live is such an amazing feeling. You realize losing your voice from screaming the lyrics at the top of your lungs, all the bruises from being barricade or jam packed in the center of the crowd, the pain in your feet from standing so long, and the ringing in your ears from the speakers being so loud or the fact that you reek like cigarettes is worth it. If you've ever been to a show you know what I'm talking about aha, you can't tell me it isn't the most unexplainable joy you can experience.
I've grown up, lost people and gained some, loved, had my heart broken twice and had my fair share of heartbreaking, the list goes on but throughout all the changes in my life there has been ONE common denominator, that's music. I am a woman of many genres & whether I want to cry, relax, go wild or just need to feel good about myself there's always a song that I can vibe to and it's always a comfortable feeling to know that at one point someone felt the same way as you.
Small bands/artists deserve just as much love as the big "famous" ones. Not only is being able to relate to music a beautiful thing but being able to create music takes so much talent, patience and dedication. Our generation is so hooked on social media and who doesn't love looking back at photos and videos especially when post concert depression hits aha but the next time you're seeing your favorite artist please don't take your phone out and just enjoy it!
