"I'm a 23 year old photographer based out of Portland, Oregon. I exclusively work with film and have recently plunged into the world of developing and scanning at home. In the beginning of my photography journey, I gravitated towards film because of the colors that can be achieved. While that's still a driving force behind much of my work, I have found that I have increasingly enjoyed the time and touch that film requires. This slowness of every step in my process allows me to better connect with my subjects. Having the ability to do my own scanning and developing has given me much more control over the final product. When choosing a subject to work with, I seek out those that historically haven't been given space in mainstream media. I strive to create unique and powerful images that show the beauty of those that are deemed to be a little different. One of my favorite things about shooting is being able to get to know such beautiful and talented people. Photography has allowed me to connect, slow down, but most importantly create."

   Shaun McGrath is a Canadian Contemporary photographer from Windsor, Ontario in Canada. Shaun specializes in analogue photography and video. He enjoys a combination of documentary, street photography and conceptual experimental shoots with models. Shaun uses photography as a form of journal keeping to not only archive life and the world around him, but to satisfy the burning desire to be visually creative.

   Lucía Ximena uses photography and film to create imagery for dreams, stories and outcast character. Hoping their work makes those who feel out of place or don’t belong to this world can be connected. She was born to a family of artists in Ecuador, so exposure to art in various forms was a big part of her upbringing. She’s currently studying at CalArts getting a BFA. Being fairly introverted, she takes advantage of this visual way of communication. It allows for expression without speaking out loud. Not having to be tethered to words from any spoken language, erases boundaries of who it can reach.

   Bloom is a claymation short film about a girl who is faced with a haunting incident of sexual assault. The character is challenged to come to terms with the shame, trauma and guilt. It uses symbolism and metaphorical imagery to illustrate the raw emotions of those who go through similar events. The film is aimed to provide a voice for those who are in need of one.
   "I am a teen filmmaker. I love to make shorts on social justice topics such as LBGTQ+ exposure, gender stereotypes, gun control, etc. I have been traveling around the world attending festivals to celebrate my work.
I just released a claymation short called, Bloom on the topic of sexual assault. The film is really an important and sensitive topic to me. The making of Bloom has been the most insane process with many stories and crazy serendipitous experiences."
