Abril Urrutia

   Abril Urrutia is a 22 year old visual artist and photographer born in Lima, Peru. She enjoys to capture everything that surrounds her either in video or photo. Keeping an archive of her everyday life is something she loves to do passionately. In her mind the pictures she takes could be stills from a movie never made, or a future video project. Her work can get to be chaotic but also dreamlike, this abstraction helps her explore the environment she lives in and also unravel who she is. Abril is also the director of the project Avecesgaleria, a platform that shares photographs of different art expositions that take place in Lima. She is currently studying Visual Arts at the Contemporary Art School Corriente Alterna in Peru.
